A free nation to me means that people who reside within its borders are free to express their beliefs and opinions even if they do not align with the governing body’s opinions and beliefs. If you cannot question and the governing body cannot be held accountable for their misdeeds, for a lack of a better word, can you truly be considered a free nation. A governing body elected by the people should be for all the people. They should hold the interests of all people above everything else regardless of age, race, gender and sex. Through laws that are passed and sanctions that are created it is evident that only the interests of a few are being considered.
