Who goes there?
There is bad news I wish to bear.
Kindness seems to have left.
Not much of a surprise to the bereft
Mothers, fathers, daughters, sons and friends.
Could kindness have been one of the many trends?
Put on display with selfish intent.
It seems like greed is hell bent
On erasing every event
That the past wanted to cement.
How many lessons must we be taught?
Before we learn that history although fraught
Has wisdom we should use to stay our hand.
For there is nothing wrong with taking a stand.
When we wish to disband
The group of thieves who destroy our land.
