I wrote this in 2019. I’m not sure why. It could have been the news or it could have been my brain just wanting to write it. Warning it’s not edited. Gmail may have checked spelling but I know soldiers is spelled wrong. I could have corrected it but I am human and I am far from perfect. In 2023, I probably would have written this in 3rd person narrative not sure why I chose 1st person narrative. It was 4 years ago.
